This is Android 4.2.2 Real 1080P output custom firmware released by Neomode for MK802IV Quad Core TV Stick. It can be downloaded from here or from here. To upgrade the MK802IV you have to use Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7. This is an Android 4.2.2 Rom based on the Latest Flycast Firmware from 06.06.2013.

Custom firmware features:

• Make output real 1080p output in these device; please notice, the real 1080p output will make your device hotter, so flash at your own risk. If you don't want or you don't need real 1080p output, then download 720 kernel & boot images from here or here and copy over in \rom\rockdev\Image folder and replace the existing files, then install the firmware according the below instructions.
• working: Bluetooth (Tested with Mouse and Keyboard), Wifi, Netflix (Patch includes) Install Netflix and Restart, Wifi Streaming, RK Remote, init.d Support
• preinstalled apps: Chrome in Desktop Mode, eMedia Center, Ultra Explorer, Terminal Emulator, Reboot App, RKGame Control Settings;
• this firmware is rooted.

 

Installing notes:

1. Download the firmware above;

2. Extract the archive you just download;

3. Open 'RKDevelopTOOL_V1.37' folder and run”RKandroidtool”

4. Put the RKM MK802IV Mini Pc in flash mode;

5. Now your PC should inform you a new device is found, and then go to 'My Computer' --> 'Device Manager' and install the drivers found in the downloaded archive.

6. After install the driver, the RKAndroidTool will inform you found RKandroid Rock USB, and then click 'RUN' button.
